Kettuvallams, the stitched boats provide the best way to experience the colourful backwaters of Kerala. The wood commonly used to make Kettuvallams is 'Anhili', which is found in abundance in central Travancore area. Large planks are tied together using hand-made coir ropes and beaten coconut fibres. This gives the Kettuvallams enough strength to withstand heavy waves in the sea. Kettuvallams are built entirely without the use of nails. It requires great skill and adroitness to construct these giant boats by tying huge planks of jack wood together.

Afternoon, proceed to visit to Tea Factory and Team Museum (Closed on Monday). Tea Factory and Team Museum exhibit photographs, machinery and memoirs that have contributed in the growth of tea plantations in Kerala. It also displays some interesting items of a bygone era such as photographs, furniture, the original tea roller (dating back to 1905), typewriters, manual calculators, wooden bathtub etc. Another must see in the premises is the tea processing unit where you can see various stages of tea processing, and also learn a thing or two about the production of black tea. You can enjoy tea tasting session where one can savor a variety of flavors.

Later visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Dam and Old Christ Church.
Mattupetty Dam is a storage concrete gravity dam constructed under the Pallivasal Hydro-electric project in 1940s to conserve water and generate power. The dam also serves as a haven for many wild animals and birds because of constant availability of water. You may enjoy the water sport activities like speed boating with a speed boat, pedal boat, motor boat or row boat. The beauty of the dam lies in the still water which reflects the tea gardens around it.
Kundala Dam also called Sethuparvati Dam is surrounded by the picturesque mountain slopes of tea garden which gives a panoramic view of the natural greens from the top of the dam. It is Asia’s first arch dam. The place is famous for cherry blossoms that appear twice in a year. The Old Christ Church is a 100 year old church built by the British in 1910. The rough-hewn granite with un- plastered walls and decrepit glass windows depicting the saints and Biblical haracters adds charm to this beautiful building.
Evening enjoy witnessing the Kathakali Dance Performance.

Later on drive down to Cochin (140 Kms / 04 Hrs); upon arrival in Cochin, check in at your hotel.
Proceed for afternoon sightseeing tour of Kochi visiting to the Fort Kochi, Dutch Palace (Closed on Friday), Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Friday & Saturday), and St. Francis Church. Fort Kochi is now ruins of a Portuguese Fort founded in 1503. The Dutch Palace is a beautiful palace originally built by the Portuguese. The Jewish synagogue is a beautiful structure built in the Jew Town in 1568. It is a place of worship decorated with splendid Chinese tiles and impressive Belgian chandeliers. The St. Francis Church is the oldest European church built in India in the early 16th century. The church is famous for being the initial burial place for Vasco Da Gama, the famous Portuguese trader.
Later on transfer to Cochin airport to board the flight to Mumbai;
